Along with the other intermediate classes Room 2 visited the Orakei Marae this week.
We were officially welcomed onto the Marae then we learnt about how the Marae building was made.
We also learnt the significance of each part of the Marae.
We were taught how to welcome people and our students got to welcome the parents and teachers back onto the Marae.
We ended the day by learning some new songs and the kamate kamate haka.
