Room 2,3 and 4 had a busy afternoon crafting, carving and building. Rain and shine students helped Mr Hunte dig holes for the cultural house poles and poured concrete to seal the poles in place. Miss McDonell and her crafty bunch of students created mosaics that represented their families and culture, while Mr O'Connor and his team carved cultural designs into macrocapa. This week we will continue building and piecing together our masterpiece. This will be a space teachers can take their classes to learn in. We can't wait to see the final product! Thank you so much to all the families that contributed to our cultural feast and those who came along to be apart of the fun 😊

This week's softball lesson
This week we learnt how to catch with the gloves. We had to make sure our hands were ready and our eyes were on the ball at all times.

How is the Waterview Connection going to benefit our community?
From what we now know about the Waterview connection project Miss McDonell asked us how we thought this project will benefit our community, we made popplets to answer this. Here's an example by Felila
Everyday Theatre
On Wednesday we had the opportunity to work with Miriam from Everyday Theatre. We met a family with a wide range of issues. We used drama and role plays to act out how we could resolve these issues and help the family.
The day was set out like a game and we had to earn points. By the end of the day Golddale earned maximum points!! Go Goldsdale. This was a fantastic experience and we learned ways of dealing with tough hurdles we may face in life.
Thanks for coming and working with us today Miriam!
